Organizational Leadership: Focus

Morning, Fam!  Today we’re talking:  FOCUS.

Picture if you would two water sources:  a wide head sprinkler and a hose with your thumb partially covering the opening at the end.

Both perform the same function, and there’s a time and place to use each of them.

Which one does a better job at going farther distance-wise?  Which one has greater force of impact?  Which one allows you to target one spot?

The hose with your finger on the end, right?

The same concept applies to focus.

Focus is merely the degree of attention and precision you give to your energy and awareness.

Sometimes it’s helpful to have a broad-reaching flow of energy.

But when you’re doing the detail work, whether it’s Pre-planning & Masterminding, Execution & Implementation or Evaluation & Course Correction- you’ll make the greatest strides when you harness your energy and focus.

This requires sacrifice and saying “no.”

This requires willingness to walk your path alone.

This requires willingness to go against the grain and stand out.

This requires mental command to eliminate all distractions.

This requires indomitable will- because it is so easy to indulge in distractions and/or get caught up in your feels where you feel guilty for pulling back your resources.

Like the sprinkler, when you CHOOSE to resort to sprinkling your resources-you’re able to cast a wide net.

But to saturate or clean the areas, it’s gonna take a LOOOOOOOOONG time, and it won’t be precise.

When your goal is exponential and geometric growth, FOCUS IS REQUIRED AND MUST BE INTENTIONALLY DIRECTED AT THE TARGET. 🎯

Today is Saturday- a day when most people relax on their goals and utilize the sprinkler head (or worse shut the water flow off completely! 😳)

We’re practically halfway through February already.

Ask yourself the vital question:  Is The Level Of Focus you’re Commanding to your endeavor in alignment with your expectations of the ROI? 🔥
